Love the sentiment of this essay. Just getting out there, making cool stuff happen, and being a leader (doing it alone and learning to be confident in walking your own way regardless of who joins)... reminds me how I want to live my life. Awesome story and great writing, thanks for sharing this Bennett.

I really appreciate that Jack! Sounds like our views overlap on a lot of things so glad to hear you enjoyed this one. Thanks for reading!

We waste an incredible amount of time waiting for the perfect moment. This post is a good reminder that not waiting for the perfect moment is the barrier to having a good time.

Thanks for sharing, Bennet!

So true, sometimes you gotta just get out there and do it!

Good essay. I live in southern NH; love reading about someone enjoying good ole New Hampshire. I enjoy solo adventures as well, but it's always better with friends. Let's go skiing sometime.

Hell yea Chris, thanks for reading! NH is such an underappreciated state!

I have found that since I started writing stories for substack, solo adventures have been enhanced with meaning. In my Barcelona piece I wrote, I'm never alone if I'm always writing funny stuff for substack.
